Are cognitive biases affecting your decision-making? Take the Heuristics-and-Biases Assessment®

Simple, quick and reliable: Amos is the first psychometric test designed to measure cognitive biases. An online test grounded on our scientific research.

What are cognitive biases ?

Cognitive biases are mental shortcuts or heuristics that turn out to be wrong in certain contexts.
For example, predicting the future from the past is a heuristic quite valid when it comes to anticipating tomorrow's weather or consumer choices. On the other hand, it becomes a bias as soon as you enter a casino. For instance, this heuristic makes one believes that in roulette, the color red is more likely to come up if the color black has come up several times in a row, a cognitive bias called the gambler’s fallacy.
Likewise, the tendency to favor information that confirms our beliefs may lead a recruiter to reinforce her belief about a candidate during an interview or a radiologist to search for confirming evidence after making an initial diagnosis.

Cognitive biases in the media

Our missions

Helping people to know their cognitive biases to make better decisions

Our mission is to give people the power to make better, more optimal and rational decisions.

Cognitive biases result in costly decision errors in many areas: management, recruitment, finance, industry, and medicine.

By allowing people to identify and correct their biases, Amos offers them the opportunity to improve their decisions and performance (managerial, financial, operational, etc.).

First training on cognitive biases based on a psychometric test, simple, quick (30 min) and reliable

Our values

Scientific research in the service of mankind

We work in synergy with scientific research. The notion of cognitive bias comes from the work of Daniel Kahneman, Nobel Prize winner in economics in 2002, and Amos Tversky.

Amos comes from a research program that began in 2020 on the measurement of cognitive biases. This program has led to several major publications that form the scientific basis of our test.

Amos is part of a philosophy that consists of using research in cognitive science to empower people by developing their skills.
